Cultural Planning, Cooperative Development and Deliberative Participation is a co-operative research and development project carried out by the University of Tampere, Department of Pori and the University of Turku, Degree Program of Cultural Production and Landscape Studies.
There is a growing emphasis to strengthen citizen participation and local practices in wellbeing promotion at municipality level. The Pori Department’s research focuses to outline features that promote citizens’ discursive participation in planning and implementing local social policy. The project also contemplates the potential of promoting cooperation between local operatives through deliberative means. Deliberation refers to careful consideration and discussions based on knowledge-sharing and dialogue. Project is funded by the University Consortium of Pori.
