The Kinect workshop in March and April. The workshop studied the possibilities of the user-centered (or performer-centered) technology in performing arts. As a result, the workshop produced a demonstration where an actor created and controlled the soundscape of the performance completely himself. The demonstration was also utilized in the Centre for Practise as Research in Theatre´s Open doors -event in May 29th.

The Reactive Residence. A concept that combines various forms of research, education and artistic productions in physical and virtual environments. The concept will be applied for the first time on September 2, when Centre for Practise as Research in Theatre organizes a seminar titled Media-artist at the crossroads of new performing environments. The education produced by the VIMMA project and its partners is provided to the Theatre and Drama Research (University of Tampere and to the departments of Fine Arts, Media and Music (Tampere University of Applied Sciences).

A research- and co-operation visit in Dublin March 18.-21. Riku Roihankorpi and Jaakko Lenni-Taattola visited Arts Technology Research Laboratory at Trinity College Dublin. Roihankorpi gave a paper titled Performance as the Tekhne of Information: aesthetic, politics, anarchic ethics. The visit also consisted of meetings to design and develop further the first seminar (Media-artist at the crossroads of new performing environments) produced in the Reactive Residence in September 2013 (Tampere) and a virtual sound workshop held in summer 2014 (Dublin).

A research- and co-operation visit in Salford. Scheduled for June 10.-13. Meetings with potential partners from BBC and University of Salford.

Hamlet´s Norwegian Dollhouse workshops. Design of the education and material for the HND 3D workshops . The design workshop is in May 20.-24 and the performance workshop in August 26.-30. The workshops explore level of interactivity between the live performer and the virtual environment from user-centered, educational and productive points of views.

The Virtual in Broadcasting workshop. Designing the workshop together with YLE. The objective is to explore the use of the movement data produced with Kinect technology in broadcasting. The workshop concentrates both on post-production and on live-broadcasting environment.

Meeting for the Ph.D. in Digital Arts network. The VIMMA project plans to organize this meeting as a part of the Creativity World Forum 2014. The meeting will include an open panel discussion on co-operation.

Ornaments installation. The planning of the working processes for an interactive installation together with Ilkka Niemeläinen and Teemu Määttänen.

Research- and knowledge export. Planning of the concept for the use of Teatro Valle Occupato that develops social progress in Italy.

S.A.Andrée production. Creation of the production team and a virtual working platrorm. The production premiering in 2014 will be the most significant demonstration of the VIMMA project´s technological innovations. Leader of the team is the production´s director, development leader Mika Lehtinen.

Co-operation with Cabaret Electrique. Development of the upcoming co-operation with Swedish performance and research group Cabaret Electrique.

Virtual environment for the use of Tampere University Hospital. Development of immersive and virtual user-centered environments for the use of Tampere University Hospital (long term units etc.) The plans are a part of the Reactive Residence initiative.
